Why CASTDRONA CHRONICLES are different
They give you information when what you need is a system. They give you a book when what you need is language. Here's what we do differently.
Kids learn through characters they love and emotions they can feel. A child who connects with a money moment remembers it.
A tiered system for ages 3 through 17. One consistent foundation that deepens as your child grows. No starting over.
Scripts for the checkout line, the after-school question, the conversation that comes out of nowhere. Real-life language for real moments.
Single parents. Blended families. Grandparents raising grandkids. Designed for the mess of real life — not the idealized version.
Not in our books, not in our system, not in our coaching. Shame doesn't build healthy money habits — it just creates quieter versions of the same cycles.
The language in the stories is the same language your family uses at the dinner table. Shared vocabulary. One household moving together.

First money moments told through stories kids love. Choices, saving, and the basics of mine, save, give — in language a 3-year-old can feel.

Deeper money conversations for the in-between years. Spending decisions, goal-setting, and understanding wants vs. needs with growing independence.

Teen-specific money skills. Earning, budgeting, planning, and building a foundation for life after high school. Meeting teens where they are.

Real money skills for the launch years. Renting, earning, credit, taxes. Independent, but never on their own.
You grew up with money tension and are quietly terrified of passing it on.
You've tried the jar system, the allowance chart, the money book — and are still looking for something that actually sticks.
You feel unqualified because your own money story isn't perfect.
You're a single parent, part of a blended family, or a grandparent raising grandkids. Real family life — not the idealized version.
You just want your kids to have what you didn't.
People ask why I started this. The truth is, I've been headed here my whole life. I just didn't know what to call it yet.
When I was little, I told everyone I was going to open an orphanage. I wanted to take care of kids.
That was the whole plan.
Life took its own turns, the way it does. But that thread was always there. Even running a cleaning business, I realized I wasn't in the business of clean houses. I was taking one thing off a family's impossibly full plate. Giving a stressed-out parent an hour back. That mattered to me more than the floors ever did. I just kept finding new doors into the same room.
The money piece I learned the hard way. I grew up without a financial safety net, raised mostly by a single mom in a household where money was tight and rarely talked about. Not because anyone didn't care, but because no one had ever taught her either. I figured it out by trial and error while raising two kids of my own and building that cleaning company from 5 clients to over 100 across two decades. Twenty years on, as a business owner and CFO, I know exactly what that education cost me.
I also know the real lesson was never really about money. It was about making a decision, living with what followed, and getting steadier every time.
That's why I created Castdrona Chronicles™, and the Money and Choices Series a story-based book series and home system that gives parents the language, the routine, and the confidence to teach money at home. Money is where it starts, because money is where the consequences are clear, immediate, and small enough to survive. What kids build there travels with them.
Where I'm headed is bigger. A real home base for families, for kids, for young adults. A place that helps raise a whole generation of thriving, capable, clear-thinking people.
That's the mission. It took me a lifetime to find the words for it, but it was always this.
If you grew up without this and you don't want to hand that down, you're in the right place. So glad you're here for it.
